Who We Are
Our Small Kingdom — OSK for short — is a community-driven enterprise based in Subang Jaya, Malaysia. We are an art and garden space where people come together to explore and immerse themselves in creativity, gardening, wellness, and community work.
We believe that art and nature can transform lives. Our space is a welcoming home for artists, gardeners, teachers, trainers, gurus, and volunteers who share a common purpose: making the world a little more beautiful, one project at a time.
Our Mission
We advocate for art and garden as catalysts for a better and more beautiful world. Through hands-on programmes, community gatherings, and volunteer initiatives, OSK creates opportunities for people to connect, learn, share, and contribute — whether by painting together, planting an edible garden, or simply spending time in a nurturing green space.
Our doors are open to anyone who wants to be part of this journey. We welcome teachers and trainers to share their skills, gurus to inspire, and volunteers to lend a hand. Every contribution helps grow the kingdom.
Our Small Kingdom began as a simple idea: a place where art and nature could coexist and flourish together. Tucked away in Subang Jaya, this art and garden space welcomes everyone who seeks a quieter, greener corner to create and connect. The space itself is filled with edible plants, herbs, vegetables, and flowers, all tended by a rotating cast of community members who believe in the power of growing things by hand. Visitors can explore the gardens, attend informal art sessions, or simply sit and soak in the surroundings. There is no strict agenda here — the kingdom grows organically, shaped by whoever shows up with an idea, a seed, or a paintbrush.
The community at Our Small Kingdom is built on the principle of sharing. Gardeners bring cuttings, seeds, and surplus fruits to exchange. Artists leave behind canvases, brushes, and inspiration for the next person to pick up. Volunteers gather for weekend projects that might involve planting new beds, painting a mural, or repairing garden tools. Teachers, trainers, and gurus from various backgrounds offer their time to run small workshops or talks. The space also extends its reach to orphanages and shelters through the Little Green Warriors initiative, bringing gardening and art activities to those who might not otherwise have access. Every contribution, no matter how small, adds to the kingdom.
At its heart, Our Small Kingdom is a catalyst for change through creativity and green living. The mission is straightforward: to advocate for art and gardening as tools for building a better, more beautiful world. This means educating children about where food comes from, showing families how to grow their own herbs and vegetables, and providing a platform for artists to share their work without commercial pressure. Sustainability is woven into every project — from using recycled materials for planters to reducing waste at events. The kingdom believes that small, everyday actions — planting a seed, painting a picture, lending a hand — can ripple outward and create lasting impact in the community and beyond.
