The filmmaker, who also happens to be the son of the late film writer, director, and producer, and producer Anant Mahadevan, wrote the script of Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge. It was scripted and co-produced by Mahadevan, along with his son Akash Mahadevan, and Sudha Kongara of the Mahadevan Studios.

But the girl, who is about to get married, decides to make a sensational exit. Mithika then conspires to kill her father. The situation forces Mithika to resort to a drastic means.

The soundtrack and the film were both released at the same time on December 4, 2012. The soundtrack was divided into two parts. The first was titled ''Mujhe Fraaandship Karoge'' and was composed by Vishal-Shekhar. It featured seven songs composed by the duo, along with two remixes of the song ''Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani''. The second part of the soundtrack was titled ''Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge'' and was composed by Sharreth. The soundtrack contained seven songs, and one remix of the song ''Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani''. It was released digitally by Tips Music on November 14, 2012.[9] The film's trailer was released on October 27, 2012.[10]
