You need to go to the installed directory in order to install the software. Click on the steam_api.ini shortcut. To use the notepad, first select open with. Go to the bottom of the page and find a language, and if there is a ru option, choose en-US or english, whichever language you want.
You can also try and delete the whole skyrim.ini file and then launch the game, it will create a brand new one, in case you (or the game) corrupted existing one for some reason. Now apply the english changes again, save and play.
Perfect that is what I was hoping to do. So there is no problem if I create an additional bsa just for mods that has the varying file structures similar to the default skyrim bsas so long as I remove ddx files and add the mod bsa to the ini
Going back to your INIs, I can't promise that making changes to them will fix your issues, but I did notice a handful of settings that do not seem to be at the ideal value. For instance, you have iMaxAnisotropy set to 1, which I'm not sure if that's even a valid input (my understanding is it should either be 0, 2, 4, 8, or 16). I suggest starting by running BethINI (tick the radio buttons for \"BethINI Presets\" and \"Recommended Tweaks\", then select the Low preset and let it run, save and exit), then read through the STEP wiki guides for skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini, and make sure your values are in line with their recommendations with any further manual tweaks in Mod Organizer's INI editor.
Having said and done that, I'm going to be frank: With a 940M and 8GB of RAM, your computer doesn't seem like it's really going to handle Skyrim very well. Based on this quick comparison, your card is in a significantly lower tier than my old 760, which was a barebones card to run Skyrim on Medium settings at 60 FPS. I would not be at all surprised to learn that you're crashing because your rig cannot handle the game. You might be able to manage by reducing some settings like shadow resolution, grass density, etc. (or maybe even outright disabling them). Try setting iMaxAnisotropy to 0 too, might make a small difference. Hopefully BethINI will take care of that sort of tweak for you. You could also search around for performance friendly tweaks, I know similar threads have come up on /r/skyrimmods before and people with worse rigs have found success. 153554b96e
