Phillippe, thanks for your work on the Grady Hatton page, I appreciate your help. I have one suggestion...under Notable Achievements the small chart on his Houston managers career is a bit repetitious, as it is covered in his managers career also.If you have any suggestions on the way things should be linked,as I noticed you made changes, please let me know and I will tryto follow what is needed. No one has ever given me any directionsas what is the correct way to link dates, teams, names, etc. Thanks again. --Dugout 14:39, 30 August 2008 (EDT)
Again, thanks for the prompt response. I've just deleted what I believe was the last remaining external link (7/25/60). I already got rid of the footnotes. And, although it may be hard to believe (based on the still somewhat distended nature of a couple of my entries which I fully understand may require additional pruning), I can tell you with a straight face and a clear conscience that even the most seemingly bloated of those are in fact extremely truncated and/or streamlined versions of the analagous Clemente page material. In any case, moving forward, I now have more to go on and will proceed accordingly. Thanks again - --David
3) RE adjusting the default display:After selecting 'BRef (default)' and saving, I've obtained the exact opposite of what I was seeking. Now I'm not getting the new display even when logged out. I tried to undo this by returning to 'My Preferences' and reverting to 'Monobook' and although that reversion has successfully been saved, I still can't access the new 'look.' Now, not to belabor the point, but I've believe I've made it clear I think the new 'look' looks like shit. However, that's obviously not my call. It is what it is; therefore I need to be able to minimize the damage that decision does to pages into which I've put embarrassingly massive quantities of time and effort. Now perhaps that's not an issue for most users; perhaps BR Bullpen, contrary to my fondest hopes, gets barely a whisper of walk-in trade. Still, I do frequently disseminate these links, via emails, blogs and Facebook posts. Moreover, I daresay the vast majority of my recipients are NOT registered Bullpen users. Thus, in one fell (unwitting) swoop, I've embarrassed myself, inconvenienced others and given my own credibility a big hit. This is beginning to get MILDLY ANNOYING. If someday, perhaps in a future life, somebody could explain to me just how it works that concealing from me how my work would appear to the 'real world' could do anything other than create just the sort of situation I've just described and, thus, merely postpone even GREATER 'upset,' I'll be all ears. But for now, perhaps we could just correct this current screw-up. - --David 15:31, 11 May 2011 (EDT) 153554b96e
