The PlayStation 2 received widespread critical acclaim upon release. A total of over 4,000 game titles were released worldwide, with over 1.5 billion copies sold.[15] In 2004, Sony released a smaller, lighter revision of the console known as the PS2 Slim. Even after the release of its successor, the PlayStation 3, it remained popular well into the seventh generation. It continued to be produced until 2013 when Sony finally announced that it had been discontinued after over twelve years of production, one of the longest lifespans of any video game console. New games for the console continued to be made until the end of its life.
The PS2 went on to sell 158 million units worldwide throughout its lifespan making it the best-selling video game console of all time. The console gave fans an incredible amount of critically acclaimed and commercially successful games. Many of them spawned franchises that would go on to this day such as God of War and Kingdom Hearts. Production for the console ended in 2013, but a handful of games were still released on the console until the end of that year.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 is the 12th installment in the series. The game itself was rather loved for its improved AI, better gameplay, and a wider range of roster picks to choose from. Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 was the first game in the series to utilize all 20 teams from the Brazilian national league.
The base Final Fantasy XI game, a fairly overlooked MMORPG, released in May of 2002. However, Square Enix released a DLC of the game called Final Fantasy XI: Seekers of Adoulin on March 27, 2013. That's almost 11 years after the release of the original game, and a very late arrival for the PS2 library.
Several football leagues were fully licensed for the game including the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and a few others. Fans received the game positively game when it was released on November 8, 2013. Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 is officially the last PS2 game ever made.

It's been over three months since the Minangkabau Wikipedia was created, and three months since I mentioned it on this talk page, yet it's still not been added to the list of Wikipedias. Could someone create the \"List of Wikipedias by speakers per active user\", please (the Finnish Wikipedia seems impressive with 5 million speakers and 1610 active users the ratio is 3105.6, while for the Portuguese Wikipedia it is 250kk/5823 = 42933.2). 187.107.18.171 05:22, 4 June 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
