The vibrams come in a small box with instructions on how to put them on, basic information about the shoe and its technology, along with padding that separate the shoes and keep the form of the shoe. Here are some photos I took:
While vibrams are protected with an anti-microbial structure, bacteria and grime can still accumulate to cause a bad smell. In fact, the smell can get so bad that even people who love vibram five fingers will stop wearing them.
Justin Owings is a deadlifting dad based in Atlanta where he works for MURAL in marketing. When he's not chasing his three kids around, you'll find him trying to understand systems, risk, and human behavior.
A few weeks later and rehabilitated, we hit the trail where we left off. This time, we left our hiking boots behind and brought two pairs of FiveFingers each, the KSO and the V-Trek. The difference was immense.
Do different VFF models have significantly different ranges of toe-pocket lengths If so, are you aware of which models might be worth me trying In other words, models where the length of the toe pocket for the smallest toe is even shorter than it is in the KSO (where, theoretically, the toe pocket for the biggest toe would be the same length as that in the KSO).

Supposedly I was one of the first to purchase this next gen shoe while at a race in Montana. Finally got to use it at the Kelowna North American Spartan Champs recently. I ran a beast (21k) and a super and I have to say that these are absolutely deadly shoes. They are virtually weightless. Just blasting through trails felt so good. Running on seriously technical terrain, I didn't once feel unsafe like I was going to slip or roll my ankle. Going through mud these shoes drained and dried so fast. A buddy did the same race in his trail shoes and they were soaked still at the finish line. The grip on wet obstacles was amazing too. Running up wet steel or gripping wood these seemed to do the trick. The deep lugs on the treads were also awesome for digging into the hills on climbs without sliding. Yes they are kind of expensive especially when ordering from Canada but they are well worth it if you are at all serious about trail running or obstacles. I will update in the future as to durability. The gen 1 shoes I had only lasted 4 races and were tearing along the sides where the toes constantly bent. Not seeing the same start of that tearing yet. Highly recommended
So, a year and a half later, what is your status with the VFF Still wearing them Gone totally barefoot I am just reading (not finished) Born to Run. I also recently completed a 25K road race (where I got my PR by 15 minutes). My interest is definitely piqued by the barefoot movement, and the chia and pinole!
Despite its foot-mimicking pattern, the XS Trek outsole is not nearly as grippy as it is flexible. The proprietary, non-marking rubber is tacky enough for any gym floor, and the enhanced flexibility helps you naturally grip with your toes on trails or rough terrain. But even if it's just a little damp out, be ready for some proprioception training. With an essentially smooth bottom, the KSO slips and slides over wet surfaces, whether those are rocks or concrete. If you live and exercise in any climate where it regularly rains, we suggest looking at other shoes in this review. 59ce067264
